The reason for putting the system from the flash drive or CD ROM is because of Window correction or any Window issues or an Old Asus Rog Driver that malfunctions on your system. This article will share all the important instructions on How to Boot on an ISO system. There are two options; one is to use a hotkey or BIOS configuration. 

First of all, We have to create a bootable USB drive. For this, we need to convert the USB Drive to FAT32. So that your ASUS System can access these files, there are many options to create a bootable flash drive. Many people use different software, and some viewers use old school fashion styles.

※ Note: All files on the USB flash drive will be deleted during the conversion process with the format feature; please back up your important files.

How to Convert FAT32 Flash Drive?

Steps to convert FAT32 Flash drive:

  1. Go to the MY PC Setting, and you will see the USB Drive.
  2. Right-click on your USB flash drive, then select [Format]
  3. Select File system to [FAT32] then click [Start]
  4. A notice appeared to remind us that all data on the USB flash drive would be deleted. Click [OK] to start formatting your USB flash drive.
  5. The format process is completed, and your USB flash drive has been converted to FAT32. Click [OK] to close the window.

ASUS products provide two methods for choosing a boot device:

  1. Boot menu by using a hotkey.
  2. Boot menu through BIOS configuration.

How to enter the boot menu in Asus Rog by using hotkey?

The following steps will guide you through entering the boot menu on an ASUS ROG laptop using a hotkey:

  • Restart or start your ASUS ROG laptop.
  • Press and hold the F2 key until the BIOS setup utility screen appears after the ASUS logo appears on the screen.
  • To access the “Boot” tab, navigate through the BIOS setup utility using the arrow keys.
  • Press Enter after selecting “Boot Option Priorities” in the “Boot” tab.
  • “Boot Option Priorities” allows you to choose which boot device to boot from. You can boot from any device by pressing Enter after selecting it with the arrow keys.
  • By pressing the “+” key, you can move the selected device to the top of the list to make it the default boot option.

ASUS ROG models may have different hotkeys for entering the boot menu. The Del, F8, or F10 keys can also be pressed during startup if the F2 key does not work.

ASUS Boot Menu Key Windows 11

It is usually the Esc key that is used for Windows 11’s boot menu on ASUS laptops. It is important to note, however, that this may vary depending on the model of your computer. It might be a good idea to try pressing F8 as well. It is recommended that you consult your computer’s manual or contact ASUS support if neither of these keys works for you.

In order to access the ASUS boot menu in Windows 11, here are the steps you need to follow:

  • The computer should be turned on now.
  • In the moment that you see the ASUS logo, start pressing Esc or F8 repeatedly as soon as you see it.
  • As soon as the boot menu appears, the boot process will begin.
  • In order to boot from a device, you will need to use the arrow keys to select it.
  • When you have chosen a device to boot from, press Enter to begin the boot process.

ASUS boot menu key Windows 10

To access the Asus boot menu on a Windows 10 computer, you can try the following steps:

  • Restart your computer by clicking the Start menu, then the power button, and then Restart.
  • While the computer is restarting, press and hold the F2 key until the Asus logo appears on the screen. This should bring you to the BIOS setup utility.
  • If the F2 key doesn’t work, try using the Delete key or F10 key instead. These keys are commonly used to access the BIOS setup utility on Asus computers.
  • Once you are in the BIOS setup utility, use the arrow keys to navigate to the Boot tab.
  • From there, you can select the device you want to boot from, such as a USB drive or CD/DVD.

Enter the Boot menu through BIOS Configuration

Let your computer get into the BIOS settings before you try to boot from a USB flash drive or CD-ROM. After entering the BIOS configuration, there are two kinds of BIOS screens: UEFI mode and Legacy mode. Please follow the steps in the right order.

Boot the system from USB flash drive/CD-ROM in BIOS – UEFI mode.

  1. After entering the BIOS configuration, press Hotkey[F8]or use the cursor to click [Boot Menu] that the screen displayed.
  2. Select USB flash drive/CD-ROM in Boot Menu that you want to use, then press Enter key to boot the system from USB flash drive/CD-ROM.
  3. In the BIOS configuration, press Hotkey[F7], or use the cursor to click [Advanced Mode] that the screen displayed.
  4. Go to[Boot] screen, select [Fast Boot] item and then select [Disabled] to disable the Fast Boot function.
  5. Go to [Security]screen, then select [Secure Boot].
  6. After entering the Secure Boot screen, select [Secure Boot Control] and then select [Disabled].
  7. Save & Exit Setup. Press Hotkey[F10]and select [Ok], and the computer will restart.
  8. After the computer restarts, please try step 1 and step 2 again to select USB flash/CD-ROM in Boot Menu that you want to use, then the system will boot from it.
